In the summer of 2015, Africa’s most promising young leaders began the journey of a lifetime. They traveled from their cities and villages in Africa to the University of Notre Dame campus and on to Washington, D.C., as part of the Mandela Washington Fellowship of the Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI). The Mandela Washington Fellowship is a program of the U.S. Government, assisted in its implementation by International Research and Exchanges Board (IREX) and colleges and universities in the United States.
Their story was captured in this powerful documentary that showcases their pursuit of meaningful change for their communities, countries and continent. The film is presented by Bisk and the University of Notre Dame, who are committed to creating social change through learning opportunities.
